Affidavit is an immigration facility provided by the Government of Indonesia in accordance to Law No.12 of 2006 on Citizenship. Affidavit is in form of a card to confirm a person’s limited dual citizenship

A Child of dual citizenship must choose to hold Indonesian nationality or foreign nationality from the time she/he reach the age of 18 years old up to the time she/he reach 21 years old or get married.

A child entitled to hold dual citizenship under 18 years old at times of application, never been married, and fulfil one of the following condition:

1. Born on legal marriage from Indonesian father and non-Indonesian mother;
2. Born on legal marriage from Indonesian mother and non-Indonesian father;
3. Born from Indonesian parent holder of Permanent Resident or Resident visa;
4. Born outside legal marriage from non-Indonesian mother but officially acknowledged by Indonesian father and the acknowledgement happened before the child turns 18 years old or unmarried.

Requirements from the applicant: 

1. Affidavit form filled and signed by applicants
2. Copy of ID Card/ KTP of Parents
3. Family Card/ Kartu Keluarga
4. Copy of Child foreign passport
5. Foreign passports of foreign parents
6. Copy of Birth Certificate of the child
7. Copy of Parents Marriage Certificate
8. 4×6 size photos of children

IMPORTANT!

With this affidavit, children with dual nationality can be freely enter or exit Indonesia without obtaining a visa first.

Please be noted that the Affidavit will be valid until the Children is 18 years old.
